South Texas Alliance for Orphans exists to serve and equip churches in fulfilling the biblical call to care for children and families impacted by the foster care system. The South Texas Alliance for Orphans has seen exponential growth in the past year, growing from 10 to 30 church partners in just nine months and receiving a number of grants to fulfill its work.
Although the Alliance is well known to its 30 church families, they sought to increase their presence across the broader community. They prioritized improving organizational effectiveness to ensure that every child in need of a foster placement is connected with a loving home. The Alliance has a small administrative staff, but together with the board, recently completed a comprehensive strategic plan.
Burnam | Gray worked with South Texas Alliance for Orphans to use their strategic plan to develop an operational plan with benchmarks and measurable objectives. We created a diversified annual fundraising plan, tools to streamline internal and external communications, and to implement strategies that convey the organization’s message more clearly to the broader community.
We also worked side-by-side with the Alliance to strengthen their current church collaborations and equip churches with additional tools and resources around foster and adopt.
