Martinez Street Women’s Center transforms communities through women and girls by providing access to vital health services, quality education, and advocacy. They work to create a world where women and girls achieve empowerment, equity, and justice.
Martinez Street Women’s Center brought Burnam | Gray on board to help strengthen their fund development program among individual donors and to facilitate a fun Board and staff retreat that would invigorate, inspire and educate.
Burnam | Gray helped Martinez Street Women’s Center launch their first fund development committee as part of their Board and volunteer program. We also developed a personalized Board and staff planning retreat that fit the culture and needs of Martinez Street Women’s Center. This all-day session brought their Board and staff together for the first time to learn about Board and staff partnerships, roles and responsibilities, creating a culture of philanthropy, and unleashing the power of their passion into storytelling for their organization.
We also helped to launch a “House Party” model of small, intimate fundraisers hosted by Board members and friends that Martinez Street can use and replicate for the future.
